Who I Am

Hi, Iā€™m Madison!

Over the years I have always had the dream of being a floral design business owner, but never truly dove in headfirst. I competed in floral design through FFA and was named the state winner my ninth grade year! It was a huge passion of mine! After high school, I felt that I needed to go to college and get a degree, yet not knowing necessarily what career path I wanted to follow. I jumped into the healthcare field at a local hospital thinking that was the career path for me. During the following years, I still had the passion of floral design and loved seeing the smiles my artwork created! In 2018 I had the opportunity to design floral arrangements for my first wedding and the response from my client, community, and other brides confirmed my passion! I was fortunate enough to have been sought out and hired by several other brides to put my gift of floral design to work over the next 2.5 years while I was still working at the hospital.

At the beginning of 2020, as we all know, Covid-19 struck which impacted everybody. Events and weddings were cancelled and prices sky rocketed, leaving me to begin a new job in the emergency room at Coffee Regional. For the past 4 years, I have worked night shift in the ER with some amazing nurses and have learned so much. This in turn made me feel as though I needed to continue on and become a nurse. Throughout this time, my passion for floral design never died.

One evening in January 2024, while standing in the kitchen talking with my husband before leaving for work, I expressed my concerns and wants for our future together and as future parents. With my husband knowing my love for floral design, he asked me, if I could begin a career at the start of the following month, what would I chose, pursuing my flower business or nursing? It turned out to be an easy yet emotional decision and pursuing my passion and love for floral design was my answer to him! This path not only will bring joy to my life, but also to the clients who I will have the honor of working with.

Mad Flowers is ready to take on the dreams and visions our brides and clients have for their special days and turn them into a reality, or help with any other floral designs! Please reach out for a consultation or any services you may need. I am excited and looking forward to working with you!
